Experience the scenic splendour, the magnificent Romanesque architecture and the cultural history of this ancient pilgrim's route across Northern Spain

Our Camino de Santiago tour begins in Bilbao and we walk the most fascinating and scenic sections of the trail from high in the Pyrenees through stunning beech forests and wooded valleys, across the vineyards of Rioja, the high tablelands of Castilla y Leon and the beautiful verdant hills of Galicia to our final destination Santiago de Compostela. We stay in delightful accommodation including luxury hotels and Paradors.

We operate with a maximum of 12 guests which enables us to provide you with a high level of personalised service. We provide a support vehicle which is used throughout the tour. The vehicle is used to transfer guests from the hotel to the beginning of our chosen sections of the walk and to transfer your luggage to the next night’s accommodation allowing you to walk with only a day pack and enjoy the amazing scenery and cultural immersion in comfort. On most days the bus is also close by in case anyone wished to opt out of walking. You’ll walk approximately 200 kilometres of this iconic ancient pilgrim’s route across Northern Spain in the 15 days taking in the most spectacular and culturally significant sections and regions.

We have expert local guides who have walked the Camino many times along with the occasional city guide for more specific excursions.

Our Camino de Santiago has a strong emphasis on experiencing the region’s food & wine

As food and wine is an important hallmark of all our tours, we place a strong emphasis on exploring the regional cuisine with lunches at casual local cafe and bars and indulging in delicious dinners in each region to highlight the local specialties and delicacies.

Our Director Jennifer Wilkinson, spent 3 weeks in Spain in 2005 researching and designing Epicurious travel’s Camino de Santiago tour and regularly walks the journey to refresh its content and explore new hotels and restaurants. Read a brief story on Jennifer’s thoughts on walking the Camino de Santiago here.

GuestStories

  • I’d highly recommend this experience and thankyou for making it what it was. I have to say our two guides Paloma and Alfonso we absolutely amazing- they were funny and experienced and full of information and love of Spain which they so willingly shared and always, always bright and happy – never tired or grumpy which over the extended period and long hours they had to work was fabulous. They were absolute Gems.
The amount of walking was great with quite reasonable distances most days but still having time to enjoy the gorgeous towns we arrived in. I feel like we saw a lot of northern Spain – the countryside but also loads and loads of little and big villages and they were some of my favorite memories. Burgos and Pamplona and Leon and all the small villages we lunched in – I so enjoyed all that. I also loved having all the local food and visiting all the restaurants along the way – I really felt we immersed ourselves in Spain for the two weeks.

  • From first contact with Meredith in Aus to saying goodbye to our beautiful guides in Santiago, the entire trip was just wonderful. The streamline organisation made everything happen with ease and was beyond my expectations. The accomodation & food were all spectacular. The culture, history and experience of The Camino and northern Spain was very special. The everyday logistics and joy was managed and enhanced by our spectacular guides, we really could not have wanted for more!

  • The organisation the variety of walking food and history one could not have ask for a better holiday. The spontaneous suggestions from Paloma our guide to visit things we had not expected added a great touch. And I would look at any other tours you had on offer and recommended whole heartedly to anyone of all ages,

  • From the moment we enquired about the trip it has been professional . Any queries were answered promptly . The trip became a reality when we were picked up in Bilbao by 2 wonderful guides who made us feel welcome and at home nothing was a problem. First stop San Sebastion on a tapis tour which was extradornary . We were a group of 8 people from very diverse backgrounds with varying abilities, to the guides credit we were all satisfied at the end of the trip with the amount of care and consideration, given to us all.  The accommodation was top notch and the food wonderful  – such variety. From a crusty sandwich on the walk to a 5 star meal. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We met many people on the way and heard stories of large groups and people feeling dissatisfied we were not that group .
